  I wanted to like La Cucina, especially since I've had friends who have recommended it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. My companion and I arrived for an early dinner and the front of house wasn't busy, but there was a party in the adjacent banquet room. The server sat us down and was quite frazzled and very unfriendly. She took our drink orders (two waters) - and 20 minutes later, we still hadn't gotten anything. She looked at our table as she passed to work the party, but didn't stop at our table when we tried to get her attention. The bus person stopped and apologized for the delay and short staffing - she managed to get our server to bring our waters and take our orders, which was again, another unfriendly encounter. Another 20 minutes goes by and there's no food, no appetizers, no further conversation from our server - only more apologies from the bus person. I have to give the busser credit - she was the only one who went out of her way to try to take care of the situation in the front of house. At that point, being only one of a handful of tables in the restaurant, we tipped the busser, canceled our order, and left.

  Great food, reasonable prices and friendly people. My one complaint is the service was very slow, fortunately I wasn't in a hurry.
